Faust Park Field Trip
Jake's class went to Faust Park on Thursday to visit the Butterfly House and Pioneer Village. We toured homes built in the 1800s, learned about day-to-day life of that time, and even got to dip some candles. We learned about chinking, summer kitchens, low mirrors, whistle walks, living rooms, wakes and so much more! After our tour through history we went over to the Butterfly House. You walk through an 8,000 SF conservatory that is filled with plants, flowers and thousands of butterflies. The butterflies flying all around were overwhelming to Jake and many of his classmates, but it was very pretty to see.
