New Year's Eve Fun

Jake saluting everyone that shot him.
Uncle Tony in his "gear" after a trip to the garage in the dark.

On New Year's Eve we had a number of Nerf gun fights. I only managed to catch a couple of pictures that they didn't jump out of to avoid being hit by darts. It was alot of fun. Hopefully we do it again really soon!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Eve at Mimi and MeeMaw's

I feel I need to give an explanation here......LOL. Grandma crochets like crazy and several years ago, someone (I think Anthony) started calling her crochet club "The Happy Hookers". She just laughs and agrees.

Jake's 5th Grade Christmas Program

Jacob sang in a Christmas musical for the entire 5th and 6th grade classes. The title of the program was "Santa's Holiday Hoedown". It was a cute story about Santa, his elves and reindeer, opening a musical show in Branson, MO. Jake was an elf.

Julia - Artist of the Month for January

As many of you know, Julia loves to do art projects. The art teacher at school chooses students to be the artist of the month and chooses one of their projects to display in the main hallway. Julia was chosen for January and the project displayed is an interpretation of Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night.

Aunt Kristen's Surprise Chimp Birthday Party

When Aunt Kristen was a little girl she asked her parents to have a chimp brought to their house for her birthday. Her mom and dad didn't really get into the idea too much. So many years passed and an unexpected thing happened. Aunt Kristen had a surprise visitor for her 27th birthday party......a chimp named Makayla. She was shocked and surprised. We all had a good time holding Makayla and watching the surprised expression on Aunt Kristen's face. Happy Birthday Aunt Kristen!

Uncle Chris and Annie looking at Makayla's toes.

Jake wasn't sure how much he liked holding the chimp.

Jen & Angie "inspecting" the chimp.

It was only fitting that Uncle Tony hold the chimp. After all, he did set all this up!

Aunt Kristen and Carson holding Makayla.

Annie holding Makayla.

Grandma said that in all of her 88 years, she never dreamed she would hold a chimp, let alone a chimp wearing a dress. LOL!
